Located in the outskirts of the city of Matanzas, The Yumurí valley offers one of the most spellbinding views in Cuba. There are many lookout points in the mountains (150 m) that surround the valley, interrupted only towards the west. However, the best perspective of the Valley can be seen from the viewpoint at the Bacunayagua Bridge (the highest in the country and considered one of the seven wonders of Cuban engineering) from where the splendor of the valley can bee fully appreciated. There are ecotourism trails in the valley that lead to an old native settlement, a flower farm and to a cove on the mouth of the Bacunayagua River, where tourists can enjoy a refreshing swim.Place: Matanzas.

Definitely the place to stay while exploring Cuba!I'm just back from a weekend stay in your beautiful country. We had an awesome time at Punta Arena. We will never forget that view when we opened the slide door on the balcony overlooking the ocean. What a sight!!!!! The room had all the amenities we were looking forward to. We had tried different restaurants on my first visit to Cuba and was satisfied with the menus and service buffet style every day on this visit. Keep up the good service PUNTA ARENA. My only complaint is when I asked for towels to go swim I was informed non were available. We are already planning another visit for September. Punta Arena is definitely on our list! 12/15 travelers found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No |
